Troy School District: #1 in Top Traditional ISAT Performers in Math!
We are proud to announce that the Troy School District has ranked #1 in the state as a Top Traditional School District ISAT performer in Math! Additionally, our district scored impressively high in the Top Traditional School District ISAT performers for English Language Arts (ELA). Half of the top-performing districts in Idaho are small and rural, with North Idaho being particularly well represented.
Our district, along with others in this region, exceeded the state’s average scores by a wide margin. The average state ELA score was 53.3%, with a goal of 52.6%, and the state math average was 42.2%, with a goal of 41.6%. Troy students continue to surpass these benchmarks, demonstrating excellence and dedication. We want to thank all our families and the community for their continued support.
The success of our students is a reflection of the strength of our entire Troy community. Your support makes all the difference! Go Trojans!
LIBRARY NEWS: October is here and the Troy Community Library has some
spiffy programming coming your way this month. I love this time of year because it is
the beginning of the cozy season – more time to read books, snuggly sweaters, tasty hot beverages, and warming yourself next to the fireplace.
You can get your book needs sorted with a quick visit to the library. Do you want to learn more about Latah County and Idaho, District 6 candidates running for office? Join us for a Candidate Forum on October 10th, 6:30-8:30 pm, at the Troy Lions Hall.Thank you to the Troy Lions Club for hosting the event at the Lions Hall and to the Friends of the Troy Library for providing refreshments.
October’s to-go STEAM activity is an eldritch, 3D bat craft. You will go batty for this fun activity. The to-go kits will be available starting October 16th. Supplies are limited, to-go activities are given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Woohoo -- story time returns on October 3rd, 10:30 am. I am looking forward to sharing stories and fun activities with all our story time friends. Storytime is geared towards children 0-5 years old.
If you have questions about anything happening at the library this month, please call Michelle Sturdy at 208-835-4311 or email troy@latahlibrary.org
